Dr. Linda Browning

Dr. Linda Browning Dr. Linda Browning  –an Australian National - has worked for over 30 years for the animal nutrition and health industries in technical and managerial roles. In parallel, she was President of the Sydney University Poultry Research Foundation in Sydney for 6 years. In this role – with her interaction with different cultures in S, SE Asia and Oceania- she became interested on Vitamin deficiency for humans and the possible use of eggs to alleviate malnutrition and hidden hunger. Therefore, in 2011, she decided to pursue research into vitamin D, achieving a PhD from Sydney University. She investigated the feeding of higher levels of vitamin D to laying hens in order to increase the vitamin D content of the egg for improving human nutrition and health. Currently Linda is working as a nutrition consultant to the poultry industry in the Asia Pacific region while advocating the use of eggs as carriers of key micronutrients –like Vitamin D- to improve the nutrient status of humans.
