Eggs have an excellent nutritive value. They contain 12-14% proteins; which are well balanced with respect to all amino acids.
The egg proteins are easily digestible and their quality is comparable to that of meat.

An egg white contains fewer calories, good amount of protein and has zero fat; therefore it is always the first choice for the people who are on weight loss journey.
But does that mean you can’t eat whole eggs in your diet? Of course you can!
It’s true that the yolk of an egg contains about 5gm of fat. This fat in yolk of an egg is mostly unsaturated fat and contributes to almost 80kcal per egg.
If you are scared of this fat and are not eating yellow part then you are missing out on some key micronutrients like vitamin B12, riboflavin, choline and vitamin A, D, K.
The yolk is particularly important source of iron; practically the whole of iron is present in the form in which it can be easily utilized.
Eggs are excellent source of vitamin A which is again present in yolk. Choline, a vital nutrient of this gold helps in child’s brain development.
The yolk is a good source of vitamin D- which is not commonly found in other foods. Egg yolk is second only to fish oil in this respect.
Egg yolk also contains 250mg cholesterol.

But if you are wondering that whole eggs are high is cholesterol and that’s what makes it unhealthy…
Not really!!

Cholesterol in the diet doesn’t necessarily raise cholesterol in the blood. Several studies have shown that eating eggs does not adversely affect blood cholesterol for majority of people.
People with genetic disorders like familial hypercholesterolemia or a gene variant called ApoE4 may want to limit or avoid eggs.

If you are not exceeding your overall calorie intake, you can easily include few whole eggs in your diet.
